Meet The Owner
Owner and operator, Chris, has called the Treasure Valley home for nearly 50 years. Chris opened Gem State Small Engine Repair in 1980 and has been serving his valued customers every season since.
Ask anyone who knows him - Chris is as honest and as fair as they come. He believes in the value of customer service and treating others as you'd like to be treated.
How We Operate
The basis for everything we do here is INTEGRITY. We are always happy to take a look at your mower and give you a free diagnosis. We will never recommend work that doesn't need to be done. We'll give you a clear, no BS assessment.
At Gem State, we pride ourselves on fair prices. We may not have a big, shiny repair shop but we like to keep our overhead costs low and pass that savings onto our customers.
Our Services
Our bread and butter is lawn mower repair. After turning wrenches for over 40 years, there isn't a problem that Chris can't find a solution to. We offer everything from simple blade sharpening to full tear-downs and tune-ups. We will work with you to make sure the repairs fit your needs and budget. We will NEVER perform work that we haven't discussed with you and agreed to beforehand.
We also have a large inventory of used lawn mowers for sale. Each mower has received a full tune-up and is ready to take home today.
